Bandung Independent School provides a full High School programme leading to graduation and preparation for college or university entrance.  We recognize and encourage the developing maturity and capabilities of our students academically, but also encourage their personal development through their participation in a number of sports, after school activities, and special events. The Bandung Independent School High School Diploma is based on accumulation of credits earned in Grades 9 – 12 and it is accredited through both CIS (the Council of International Schools) and NEASC (the New England Association of Schools and Colleges).  In Grades 11 and 12, students may also choose to enroll in the IB Diploma Programme, which is recognized worldwide, by US Universities included, as a challenging and rigorous programme.


Students may elect to participate in the full IB Diploma Programme (DP), or alternatively, they may take IBDP Courses in selected subjects or BIS High School Diploma level subjects or a combination of both in order to obtain the necessary credits for their High School Diploma. In these grades, the CORE programme consists of the subject areas: English, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies and Foreign Language. The diploma requirements reflect Bandung Independent School’s dedication to providing a broad academic foundation for the student while at the same time emphasizing all areas of development.

Our students leave the programme prepared to face the future and make adult decisions. In addition to mastering high academic standards, they are treated with maturity and expected to take on roles of leadership within the school in everything from Student Council to drama productions and athletic teams. As they progress through high school they are encouraged to reach toward their own personal goals, and to mature into thinking, creative, active members of a global community.
