During conferences teachers hope that parents will gain an insight into their child's learning. The students were responsible for leading the conference, and sharing the process with their parents through a variety of learning situations across several curriculum areas. They explained and reflected upon work samples that had been previously been selected (either by students or teachers or by both) to share with their parents. I observed many students being confident and reflective communicators and thinkers. The single-subject stations such as PE and Music also offered students the opportunity to teach their parents new skills.

Thank you to all parents who participated in the conferences.

Ms. Mary

Well done to all the students who joined the trip to Mountain View School in Salatiga to take part in the IISSAC Cross-country running and Badminton tournament from 7-9 April.  Special congratulations to Gilbert (Grade 8) who got 1st place and Max (Grade 7) who got 3rd place in the 3km event.  Our boys’ team got 2nd in the Cross-country and the girls were placed 3rd! In Badminton Sofyan and Chan Woo were placed 2nd in the Doubles and many of our other players got 3rd and 4th spots.  All of the students showed wonderful team spirit and were very supportive of their friends on the court or field when they themselves were not playing or running.  Many thanks to Mr. Hector and Mr. Markey who led the trip and supported the students so well.
